Some things are just freakin’ scary.

But do them anyways.

I went on a hiking trip with my friends to Kodiak, Alaska about 2 years ago. One of those hikes was Pyramid Mountain. Now, in general, hiking up mountains scares me. Crazy huh, since I do it all the time. This was the only time I actually cried. There is a part of the mountain where you have to ditch your poles and just climb straight up. I don’t even think I realized I was doing it until I was halfway up and… kinda froze. “Why do I have friends like this? Why do I keep hiking? What the heck is wrong with me!?” All went through my mind! But you know what, I scrambled up, had a good cry at that point, then picked myself up and finished at the summit! Also… it was my favorite hike of that trip! Gorgeous views. Great trail. It was an unbeatable experience that I will 100% do again.

It just goes to show that some scary things are totally worth the trouble!

This week in my marketing class… we had to finish creating and make live our websites! I have been obsessing over mine for far too long. I have been attempting to make the perfect product. I have sweat way to much for just sitting here in a chair at my computer! We have gone over taxes and how to license your business and if you want an LLC or a sole proprietorship and where you should register your domain name and… I feel like it has been unBEARably exhausting!

And thus the first product was born. As of this second there is ONE item on this website. I hope to make a whole line of unBEARably comfortable sweaters! unBEARable tees, and hopefully unBEARable hats and beanies! I have no clue it this will work. It scares the crap out of me. And… I am just going to do it! We have some amazing resources right here in Matanuska Valley to help new business get started. I have an appointment with the Alaska Small Business Development Center. I have amazing supportive people around me. Bring it on people!
